"Even though problems might try to convince us otherwise, people always have skills and strength to prevail.”
Debi takes a non-judgmental, warm, and compassionate approach to working with clients. She supports people to get their life back from the grip of problems through exploring values, examining social norms, and discussing their preferred ways of being. Through collaborative conversations with clients, Debi hopes to expand possibilities and choices.
For the past four years, Debi has worked at Miracle Mile Community Practice (MMCP), a narrative therapy sliding scale counseling center. As a therapist, she provided individual, couple, and family therapy to a steady diverse client base (including children, adolescents and adults) dealing with a variety of issues including anxiety, addiction, eating and substance problems, life transitions, depression, and relational conflict. She continues to work with MMCP as intake coordinator while consulting with Evo.
Debi also worked at Alternatives Behavioral Health, an outpatient non-12-step addiction treatment center in Beverly Hills, where she met with clients in group sessions for life skills training, relapse prevention, coping skills, goal setting, and mindfulness.
Debi is currently serving as Evo's Interim Director of Clinical Services while Gali Barak is out on maternity leave.
